Wi-Fi at the Almaty International Airport

Wireless Internet access service representation by the Wi-Fi technology was hold at the Almaty International Airport on 24 December. There are 9 hot spots at the airport for  the passenger terminal full covering by the Wi-Fi. Now it is possible to use this service at any point of the passenger terminal including VIP-lounge.

Wi-Fi technology (abbreviature of Wireless Fidelity) is a standard assigned for the local wireless network providing.

Wi-Fi standard allows to provide the high-speed Internet access from any notebook, handheld PC, smartphone or wireless IP-phone at the Wi-Fi covered area where it must be set corresponding access points. Ordinarly the access point consists of receiver, transmitter for the wireline networking and data processing software.After the access point connection within a radius 50-100m around radio signal is spread (Wi-Fi area) where it is possible to use the wireless network.

In order to link to the Wi-Fi Internet owner of notebook or any foregoing mobile unit equipped with Wi-Fi adapter should be at the access point range. All units determination and network tuning operations are done by the most of computer programs automatically.

Passengers will estimate this innovation at their true worth and the time spend at Almaty Airport will become more pleasent.
