“Almaty International Airport” is guaranteed quality!

In September 20, 2007 JSC “Almaty International
Airport” was the first airport among airports located in Post Soviet
area and Kazakhstan which certified its quality management system
corresponding to International Standard ISO 9001: 2000. In that way, the airport has taken responsibility to
aim at satisfaction of demands and expectation of the customers to
the maximum.
For more than a year our company was working on
development and implementation of quality management system,
internal control and conformity assessment of developed system to
meet the requirements of international standards.
All sub-units of Almaty airport
were involved in the work. More than 80
documents were developed and edited. The system covers almost all
kind of airport activity. This is a whole complex
of measures (including a feedback from passengers, airlines
representatives and cargo customers) allowing effectively and in
proper time to make necessary corrections to process of production
without breaking balance between quality and safety. Our
motto: “Continuous improvement is a key for success”.
After appreciation of several
alternative proposals, the authorities of JSC “Almaty International
Airport” applied to TUF NORD German Certification Body to conduct a
certification audit. During the process
of this audit, TUF NORD estimated conformity assessment of quality
management in 25 sub-units of the airport by the method of document
analysis, survey and observation. According to the result of the
audit conducted the head of audit group declared that the quality
management system of JSC “Almaty International Airport” met to the
requirement of international standards and it could receive a
certification – document, confirming a decision of the third party
that our organization was able to provide ground handling for
airlines, passengers and cargo customers. It was the certificate
presented on New Year’s Eve. Mrs. A. A. Gordeev, the first
Vice-President of JSC “Almaty International Airport” congratulated
the airport team warmly and noted that the good beginning to a
systems and comprehensive approach for all interior processes of the
company had been started which had to develop and to improve
actively. All the world states accept the certificate issued by TUF
NORD it is valid for 3 years with the right to conduct an annual
inspection audit. The purpose of the inspection audit is to
determine whether the quality management system of the organization
will be able to keep status of certified system, namely to confirm,
that the system is kept in the working condition and is always
improved. The presence of the management quality system and its
continuous improvement is the best guarantor of quality for
customers.
