New cargo flights
are to be operated to Almaty

On March 5, 2009, negotiations between management of Almaty International Airport and representatives of Asiana Cargo were conducted. In the course of negotiations Almaty airport demonstrated its modernized technical basis for aircraft handling, and efficient staff as well. Prospects for cooperation and strategy for development of further relations were discussed.

Preliminary arrangement on operation of 3 services per week en route Seoul – Almaty – Europe initially with technical stop in Almaty and then with changing over to commercial flights was reached during the negotiations.

Asiana Cargo is a subdivision of Asiana Airlines operating all-cargo aircraft. The airline is one of the major airlines in South-Eastern Asia. There are eight Boeing 747-400 and one Boeing 767 in its fleet.
