Almaty International Airport is the
most promising airport of the Central Asia in respect of
transit and transfer air transportations both domestic and
international ones.
Being of interest to many countries of the world it has
obtained status of an international hub, oriented for

October 24, 2009, Egypt Air has launched its flights. Now
Kazakhstan citizens have the opportunity to fly to any
destination in Europe, USA, Asia, Republic of Sought Africa,
Morocco, Tunis, Lebanon, Syria, Singapore, Cyprus, Oman,
Jordan, Greece, and Israel.
Hainan Airlines is planning to carry out passenger flights
on В-737-800 by the route Beijing-Almaty-Beijing two times
per week. Bulgaria Air has launched series of charter
flights by the route Varna-Almaty-Varna with frequency of
operations one time per week. Mahan Air (Iran) is planning
to start passenger operations on А-310-320 two times per
week by the route Teheran-Almaty-Teheran.
According to Almaty airport data over the
years 2000-2009, we can see the considerable growth in cargo
flights. The airport became interested to airlines operating
between Europe and Asia as geographical location of Almaty
is in the middle of this route.
Cargoitalia
(Italy) started flight operations on MD-11 with technical
stops by the route Milan-Almaty-Hong Kong six times per
week. Evergreen started its operations on Boeing 747 up to
five times per week with technical stops.
From October 26, 2009, Cargolux carries
out up to ten flights per week. Lufthansa Cargo operates
nine flights per week. Air China Cargo launched cargo
flights operated on B-747 by the route Dubai-Almay-Shanghai
one time per week with the commercial rights.
Air
Cargo Germany started flight operations with the commercial
rights on Boeing 747 two times per week.

stable growth.
