Simplification of security check

In the beginning of the 2010 Almaty International Airport’s security check procedure was changed. For the comfort of the passengers security check line was removed from the entrance and exit of the terminal. Now passengers pass the security check prior to departure in accordance to the ICAO regulations. In order to improve quality service of the security check, Aviation Security Department made requalification of the personnel. For the local flights security check is done by the Aviation Security Department (ASD), Security check on international flights is done by ASD, Customs and Border authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Regulations includes such procedures as: screening and check of the baggage, cargo, mail, catering, crew and individual check of passengers on local and international flights except governmental authorities, and specified individuals that categorized in diplomatic mission accepted by Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The goal of the security check is secure flights, lives and health of the passengers and crew, personnel and facilities of the Airport. Guarantee of the comfortable flight is security of every passenger.
